Our mission

The mission we didn’t see coming

We built a lock to stop theft.

Then our riders showed us something else. Some bikes they thought were stolen had just been moved, borrowed or forgotten. A big night out can do that.

Getting misplaced bikes back to their owners became our unexpected, customer-designed mission.

My job is mostly saying no

People love adding features. Why don’t you do this? Why don’t you do that?

My job is to keep LAAS simple. The lock. The app. The website. The campaigns.

No. No. No. And every now and then, yes to the right thing.

I have obsessed over this lock for many years. I hope it makes finding, sharing, and lending your bike so much easier and more enjoyable. And that you become a little bit obsessed too.
